The panel

Mikko Hypponen is a cybersecurity expert, speaker and author. He works as the Chief Research Officer at WithSecure. Mikko is well known for the Hypponen Law of IoT Security: "If It's Smart, It's Vulnerable". This is also the title of his latest book, which has been translated to 5 languages. Over the last 30 years, he has accomplished many notable career achievements: he was selected as one of the 50 most important people on the web by the PC World magazine, and was included in Foreign Policy’s Top 100 Global Thinkers list. Mikko is an accomplished speaker, regularly presenting at conferences like TED, SXSW, Black Hat, DEFCON, RSA, and more.

Sounil Yu is an accomplished security practitioner, investor, and author. He is currently the co-founder and CTO of Knostic, a stealth startup. He is known as the creator of the DIE Triad security model and author of the Cyber Defense Matrix, which are transforming current approaches to cybersecurity. In his former roles as the Chief Security Scientist at Bank of America and CISO at JupiterOne, Sounil has made significant contributions through his leadership in the field. Sounil’s career is marked by his dedication to advancing cybersecurity, promoting collaboration and innovation, and providing guidance and expertise to various organizations and initiatives in the industry.

Ted Julian is a well-known industry trailblazer and product leader in the security and compliance markets. He’s a serial successful entrepreneur and a repeat founder. Over the last two decades, Ted has ideated and launched multiple successful security startups and exits across software, hardware, and services. Most recently, Ted operated as the SVP of Product at Devo, a cybersecurity company that provides cloud-native logging and security analytics for organizations. This role found Ted in charge of product strategy and design, coordinating efforts between the engineering and sales needs of the company through its $250M Series E raise from TCV.

Jeremy Snyder is the founder and CEO of FireTail.io, an end-to-end API security platform. Prior to FireTail, Jeremy worked in M&A at Rapid7, a global cyber leader, where he worked on the acquisitions of 3 companies. Jeremy previously led sales at DivvyCloud, one of the earliest cloud security posture management companies, and also led AWS sales in southeast Asia. Jeremy started his career with 13 years in cyber and IT operations. Jeremy has an MBA from Mason, a BA in computational linguistics from UNC, and has completed additional studies in Finland at Aalto University. Based in Northern Virginia, Jeremy speaks 5 languages and has lived in 5 countries.
