The PagerDuty Integration connects FireTail alerts and incidents with PagerDuty, enabling automatic triggering of PagerDuty alerts for issues. Alerts from FireTail are sent to PagerDuty using Events API v2, you can customize alert titles, summaries, and severity levels. When you create an alert or incident you will be able to select the PagerDuty integration you have created as the method of receiving notifications. To set up the alert:

1. Navigate to Integrations in the FireTail platform.

2. Click PagerDuty Issue.

3. In the Name of Integration field, enter a unique name to identify this PagerDuty integration.

4. Configure PagerDuty:

  • Login to your PagerDuty account.
  • Go to Services and click Service Directory.
  • Select the Service that the integration will be added to.
  • Select the Integrations tab. Click, Add another integration.
  • Select Events API v2 as the integration type and click Add.
  • Find your integration in the list. Click the expand icon on the right and copy the Integration Key
  • Paste it in the PagerDuty integration "routing_key" field on the FireTail platform.

  • PagerDuty Event Alert Title: Enter the title of the event.
  • Severity: Select the severity from the dropdown.

You can edit these tokens to customize the information displayed in the notification. For a full list of tokens, go to Dynamic variables. Learn how to Customize notifications.
