This integration deploys necessary logging resources within your AWS environment using CloudFormation templates. Once set up, it configures API Gateway to send log data to Kinesis Firehose.
The integration involves creating a CloudFormation stack that provisions the required IAM roles and Kinesis Firehose delivery stream.
After deployment, you need to attach the logging configuration to each API Gateway API you want to monitor, specifying the Kinesis Firehose ARN for log delivery.
To get started, ensure you have an AWS environment set up. Create the integration in FireTail and select the appropriate AWS region. Generate and provide an application token, then deploy the necessary CloudFormation template from FireTail.
After the setup, enter the required ARNs into FireTail. Finally, configure your API Gateway to use the provided services for logging.
